A few weeks ago, a client reached out with a concern I've been hearing more often: unwanted AI bots were joining their Teams meetings without anyone's permission.
Tools like Otter.ai, Fireflies, Read.ai, and Fathom were silently entering calls, recording conversations, and transcribing everything. For a company that handles sensitive client data, this was unacceptable.
What They Needed
The request was simple: "We want something that automatically detects and removes these bots from our meetings. Our people shouldn't have to worry about it."
The problem? Microsoft Teams doesn't have native controls for this. There's no setting that says "block all AI recording bots."
